  • Edifier TWS NB earbuds: Lose noise

    Time: Jun. 17, 2020

Earbud enthusiasts get good news with Edifier. We have taken an important step in today's wireless timeline, as active cancellation of legitimate noise has entered the economic atmosphere.

Edifier's new TWS NB Earbuds offer the coveted ANC feature in one of the cheapest true wireless packages we've seen so far.

Configuration is standard, with Edifier using Bluetooth 5.0 on TWS NB. The company has also integrated an antenna technology called Laser Direct Structuring into the headphones to ensure a stable connection and fight interference.

The metallic finish of the TWS NB gives off a futuristic atmosphere with its somewhat strange shape. It is undoubtedly a subjective matter, but at least I appreciate aesthetics.

In addition to IPX4 water resistance, there's not much on the Edifier product page about TWS NB's features as headsets for active people. The headphones are absolutely safe and evolve to the rhythm of everyday life. But take it with you for a jog and chaos will ensue. They never fell out of my ear, but no matter how many times I adjusted the buttons to hold the fins in place, I couldn't help but feel like I was wearing earrings dangling, or how I imagine that feeling.

The charging case, which Edifier calls a "light-resistant anodized aluminum" product, is larger than alternatives like Apple AirPods or Google Pixel Buds 2. The rectangular shape of the case almost resembles a harmonica.

Interestingly, when it comes to playing, TWS NB takes up space on both sides of the room. When active noise cancellation is enabled, they are only suitable for 5 hours of audio.

However, without ANC, TWS NB will play for 11 hours, with two additional fees included in the package. This makes it one of the best, especially the Samsung Galaxy Buds + and Sony WF-SP800N, for a significantly smaller proportion of changes.

There are only two buttons on the Edifier headphones, one on the multifunctional variant. You can use the two buttons to toggle between active noise cancellation and ambient noise mode. The same goes for changing titles or answering and rejecting calls. It takes a bit of work to get familiar with the controls, but they work well after the first learning phase.

Edifier has its own application associated with EDIFIER TWS NB ... and that's all there is to it. The app can turn the ANC on and off and change tracks, but friends can do it themselves.
