Bullguard Internet Security Review

Bullguard was founded in 2001 and is a private software company that focuses on the Internet and mobile security. They have developed award-winning antivirus tools, parental controls, and mobile backup software.

Features
As with almost all security suites, you can choose between basic, standard, and premium, but you generally get 3 levels of protection. In the case of BullGuard, it does not differ from the typical design. You get Antivirus, Internet Security and Premium Protection, being Renault Clio and Premium Lamborghini Antivirus, so to speak. As expected, the functionality of the basic antivirus suite will be limited, but we are quite disappointed, especially considering the price. It has 3 main functions, which are: real-time protection, safe browsing and spam filtering. We understand that this is the standard functionality for a basic suite, but at least reduce the price! At the other end of the spectrum, we have premium protection. A complete product that includes BullGuard online backup software with 25 GB of storage!

Safety
Compared to AVG, Avast, Eset and Microsoft prevailed in an AVTest Bullguard. They scored a total of 17.5 / 18.0 and scored a maximum of 6 out of 6 points for protection against malware infections and PC performance! So I would naturally assume that BullGuard is a product of the highest quality and of course it is.

Support
Support is one of the main factors that can make someone change their mind about a competitor's product. Bullguard does the basics well: They've created an easy-to-navigate support site with great search and FAG sections not to mention their live chat that supports 6 different languages! English support is open 24 hours a day! Cost? No, if you bought one of your products, you will receive free support, even if you are only on "free trial", you will still be treated as a paying customer, which is great! A small danger is the lack of phone support, but as the Internet grows for seconds, this is not a problem. Live chat is the fastest and easiest way to contact a customer advisor anyway!

Affordability
The value for money is probably not BullGuard's greatest strength: the range of features it gets for the price is not the best compared to the competition on the market. Even without looking at the features of other suites on the market, it's easy to see that BullGuard is at the top of the scale. Most companies offer you a choice of multi-device support, which greatly reduces the cost per device and you don't mind paying a little more per year. However, we think BullGuard is quite difficult to add more devices.
