Last year, Huawei announced a new program that would qualify third-party accessories for its equipment manufacturing. The BETOP G1 Game Controller is one of the certified accessories designed for the Mate 20 Series.

The Betop G1 Wireless BT Gamepad is a game controller that can be connected to the left side of Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X. It is designed for Huawei and is only suitable for the above devices and not any other model(not including China).

The BETOP G1 controller is connected via Bluetooth 5.0 (NORDIC Bluetooth 5.0 chip inside). According to Huawei, associating the controller with your phone is easy. Simply bring the controller closer to your Mate 20 phone. A dialog box will appear on the screen asking if you want to connect to the controller.

The controller has a keyboard, a joystick and two buttons on the shoulders. The joystick is surrounded by an RGB LED ring, while the LB shoulder button is painted different from the color of the host. On the joystick there is a speaker. On the bottom of the controller there is a Bluetooth button next to the USB port and the microphone. The controller also has an adjustable clamp that holds the phone in place.

The BETOP G1 game controller has a 400 mAh battery. According to Huwaei, a 5-minute charge should allow 2 hours of play and a full 25-hour charge, the controller has a waiting time of 180 days.
